A.Belinda 's Story

2012 At this stage in my life, it's all about family, work and appreciating all that life has to offer, from the most mundane, to the extraordinary. Life is good...I am blessed beyond measure. I have three lovely daughters (ages 33, 31 & 21, respectively) and EIGHT (8!) grandSONS, who long ago cemented my perspective and views on life, family and priorities. I have a fulfilling job that I love and am most appreciative to have, a handful of lifelong, loyal and supportive friends and family members that remain steadfast. I've had the good fortune of having had the opportunity to travel to all corners of the U.S. and in between, which have in turn, allowed me to observe and experience firsthand, how the rest of the U.S. population lives, works and plays. All in all, over the years I've lived an interesting life that has encompassed life's most challenging trials, tribulations, and the most joyous of miracles. I've come to learn that indeed, life has a way of not only balancing itself out, but coming full circle. Every phase of my life has continuously prepared me for my ever evolving "future", which in turn, impacts my personal growth, insight and outlook on life, for the better (!), I choose believe. I often think of my long ago 'best friends' and former classmates, ranging from elementary school (Robert E. Lee), to Edinburg High School. In retrospect, those individuals who were my close buddies, best friends and classmates all those years ago, impacted my life not only during that time, but even today, as the memories from those friendships from years ago, surface often. ertain moments, events and phases involving my favorite people from various phases of my life, which can invoke a smile, even after all these years. I hope those individuals and all my former classmates alike, are healthy and happy, regardless of what their current station in life might be. Eternal peace to my beloved, best friend forever, the late Diana Marie Garza. Blessings to all, Alma - Belinda ******************************************************************************************************** I'd like to share some inspiring words from a poem I found in a book many years ago. While the book itself appeared to be of little monetary value, the words written and expressed in that small, folded, faded piece of paper left in that book, are not only invaluable, but palpable. I read these words often, as a humble reminder to myself, that time and life is precious, and to remind myself to express to my loved ones - and often (!) - how much I love and appreciate them. Perhaps these words will prove inspirational to anyone who elects to read them. "The Time is Now" If you are ever going to love me, Love me now while I can know The sweet and tender feelings Which from true affection flow. Love me now While I am living, Do not wait until I'm gone And then have it chiseled in marble, Sweet words on ice cold stone. If you have tender thoughts of me, Please, tell me now If you wait until I am sleeping, Never to awaken, There will be death between us And I won't hear you then. So, if you love me, even a little bit, Let me know it while I am living So that I can treasure it. Author Unknown
